When you’ve been around as long as New Balance has, your archives are more like a greatest-hits collection so with the return of the RC42, that’s exactly what we’re getting – a classic. Brought to life with a shaggy granite suede upper, the laterals are banded by stitched white leather ‘N’ logos while contrasting grey leather shrouds the ankle collar. Flat laces track a padded foam tongue to a stitched hangtag while underfoot we find a foam midsole set above a classic gum rubber outsole.
